Stuttgart Airport Office

The project is part of the largest infrastructure expansion and modernization program at Stuttgart Airport to date. The design was the winning scheme in a 1992 competition.
The scope of the competition went beyond the office building, technical infrastructure and passenger parking garage actually realised later on and included the design of a conference center, a shopping mall and an underground railway station.
Stuttgart Airport Office contains administrative offices for several airlines as well as the airport headquarters of Customs and the Federal German Border Guard. Conference- and classrooms as well as holding cells were planned to suit the particular requirements of police and border guard.
